Dr. Gealon Thomas and his wife of 38 years, Katie, moved to the Seymour, South Knoxville area from Harriman, TN. Dr. Thomas graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in Memphis in 1986 after finishing his undergraduate studies at Tennessee Tech.
Dr. Thomas has two sons, Ben and Sam, and two daughters-in-law, Mary and Jodie. Dr. Thomas has three beautiful granddaughters, Caroline, Elizabeth and Myer. He feels blessed beyond words to have his whole family here together and to be a part of such a special community.
Dr. Ben Thomas joined Thomas Family Dentistry in 2017 after graduating from the University of Tennessee Dental School in Memphis.
Prior to dental school, Dr. Ben graduated from The University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a bachelors in Microbiology and before that, attended Seymour High School.
Dr. Ben currently lives in Seymour with his wife, Mary, and daughters Caroline and Elizabeth. When he is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Ben enjoys camping with his girls and getting outdoors as much as possible. He feels blessed to raise a family and practice dentistry in the same community he was raised and is excited about the future growth of the community.
Dr. Ben hopes to provide the best dental care available and spread the love of Christ along the way.
Dr. Samuel Thomas joined both his father and brother at Thomas Family Dentistry in 2020 after graduating from University of Tennessee College of Dentistry.
Dr. Sam attended East Tennessee State University before moving to Memphis, TN for dental school.
His passion for dentistry was sparked in high school. During this time, he went on medical mission trips to Haiti and the Dominican Republic to help assist with dental needs. Dr. Sam attended Seymour High School where he was class valedictorian. After moving away for college, he is excited to be back in his home town of Seymour. He and his wife, Jodie, agree there is no better place to raise their daughter, Myer, who was born in 2022.
When Dr. Sam is not in the office you may find him in the mountains. His favorite activities include trout fishing, having picnics with his family in the national park, and kayaking.
Dr. Sam hopes to provide top dental care while also sharing the love of Christ and building lasting relationships with his patients.

But I'm writing to express how much I appreciate the superb service provided on my last visit in March, a bit of an emergency visit, due to a crown that came off. The crown was done by another dentist years ago and Thomas Family Dentistry not only fit me in for an early morning appointment to fix it quickly, they were all very pleasant, and the procedure was very inexpensive!
